This author has such a raw writing style in book one that I
was absolutely stoked when I heard that J had a book that says his peace. As I’m
reading this, I realize how compatible the two characters truly are. Their personalities
blend so well. They’re both so intense and uncut. Deliberate in their every
move and incredibly street smart. The raw writing is still there and absolutely fascinating!
This book explains everything J faces, why he faces it and
how he faces it. It digs up a little of when he meets Elle and then discusses
what he was going through while they were getting to know each other and
everything passed that. You HAVE to read book one Steel & Ice (which is my
very first book review) in order to understand this book.
This book has the emotions. Everything, as a reader of the
series, I wanted when I read book one is in this 1.5! Once I made it half way
through this book, I was lost in it. Completely and totally lost in it. It’s
too good to put down!
This book was exactly what I needed after reading book one
but now I need book two!!! If you’re an Emily Eck fan like I am, you know
exactly how I’m feeling right now! She’s amazing, talented and her characters
are completely put together and well thought up. I always finish a book and
feel like I was right there the whole time watching everything as it happened.
You guys have to read book one, this book (one and a half) and book two!
