J Speaks

Title: J Speaks
Author: Emily Eck
Pages: 51

This author has such a raw writing style in book one that I was absolutely stoked when I heard that J had a book that says his peace. As I’m reading this, I realize how compatible the two characters truly are. Their personalities blend so well. They’re both so intense and uncut. Deliberate in their every move and incredibly street smart. The raw writing is still there and absolutely fascinating!

This book explains everything J faces, why he faces it and how he faces it. It digs up a little of when he meets Elle and then discusses what he was going through while they were getting to know each other and everything passed that. You HAVE to read book one Steel & Ice (which is my very first book review) in order to understand this book.

This book has the emotions. Everything, as a reader of the series, I wanted when I read book one is in this 1.5! Once I made it half way through this book, I was lost in it. Completely and totally lost in it. It’s too good to put down!

This book was exactly what I needed after reading book one but now I need book two!!! If you’re an Emily Eck fan like I am, you know exactly how I’m feeling right now! She’s amazing, talented and her characters are completely put together and well thought up. I always finish a book and feel like I was right there the whole time watching everything as it happened. You guys have to read book one, this book (one and a half) and book two! Absolutely amazing!

Naturally, She's Dreaming

Title: Naturally, She’s Dreaming
Author: Susan Lukas
Pages: 76

So, when I first read a little about this book, I wasn't really interested in it. I figured it was one of those slow books that feels physically painful to read. I want to put that to an end and say it’s not one of those books. It’s one of those books that takes you through a personal journey. Then, once you’re done reading, you find yourself sitting in place, daydreaming and thinking about your strengths and weaknesses. It’s not heavily religious, it’s lightly spiritual. It’s the perfect combination.

The photos are absolutely gorgeous and creative. I found myself completely inspired and moved just by the photos. The words are just as moving. Truly beautiful work. Once the Author explains what she put together in order to create the photos, my jaw dropped. A lot of the words that are used really dig deep. Susan Lukas allows you to think, consider, and imagine beyond what the naked eye can see. It allows your soul to open up and see as well.

My OCD is fascinated with the fact that these photos have a specific organization to them. Also, the information that is placed in this book… inspired me to go out in nature and allow myself to relax more. I typically go outside and am in an instant urge to get where I am going rather than stopping to take a deep breath. I have really bad social anxiety after the Army but nature does drastically calm me down. I try really hard to get to a quiet place without being bothered or disturbed for long periods of time. I feel encouraged reading these words to fight to be out in nature and to allow myself to let go of all of the stresses that prevent me from relaxing and enjoying nature without having to be somewhere.

In all honesty, I’m incredibly happy I read and looked at the beautiful pictures in this book. For those of you who need a boost of inspiration or a form of motivation, take the time out to read this book. Don’t just read it like it’s another book out there. Read it like your life depends on it. Read it with an open mind. Look at the pictures and then close your eyes and let the photos give you that chance to travel to a place in your imagination. If you haven’t already picked up this book, I recommend you do so now.

Anything She Wants

Book Title: Anything She Wants
Author: Harper Bliss (and others)
Pages: 100

First off, I‘d like to say just reading the author notes has me completely intrigued and dying to dig into this book! This is a lesbian erotica anthology. The very first one I have ever read! After reading I can say this book concoction of different lesbian erotica stories is definitely worth every last cent. It makes me wonder why I have never read an anthology before! This book will definitely be read a lot more than just this once! It’s so good!

The first story, Cliché by Kay Jaybee, is about a woman telling a sexual story to her lover. It’s so incredibly hot to be creating a sexual story while caught up in a still sexual moment. I wish I could explain that more but you’re going to have to read it for yourself within the anthology in order to truly understand! I must say it will be absolutely worth the read! It’s so incredibly hot!

The second story, The Corner Chair by Laila Blake, is about sweet sexual torture. It’s beautiful and incredibly detailed wording and explanations leave you practically begging for more! So much emotion built up toward the woman in the chair, taking commands and obeying every last word. I’m not into bondage but this story definitely makes a girl curious!

The third story, Loving the Lady by Lucy Felthouse, is about a woman who has her eye on the woman she wants and goes for it. This is my kind of story! I absolutely love this story! I will probably find myself rereading this one at random later on. It’s the kind of story that gets stuck in your head and you can’t stop thinking about it!

The fourth story, Hooked by Erzabet Bishop, is about a crotchet teacher who has been lusting over a woman who doesn’t date. Mercy, the teacher, doesn’t make a pass at Carly, who doesn’t date, but maybe she should. Carly gives her word that she will make it to Mercy’s class but becomes a no show. What happens next, completely caught me off guard! I loved every second!

The fifth story, Blurring the Boundary by Sarah Ellen, is about a scene on a set acted out by two straight women. Lost in a played out choreographed scene, the two women play their parts a lot better than either of them expected. I definitely felt like I was watching this happen! My mind is running on what should happen next! Such a good story!!

The sixth story, Steps by L.C Spoering, is about a woman who realizes she’s nothing like her mother. She finds herself in a place she’d never deliberately go by herself, stuck alone after her friends go and do their own thing. I completely relate to her though. I would never go out to a dance club, deliberately by myself. What happens to her is a dream of mine! Would absolutely love to be caught in the situation she finds herself in. A really hot, adrenaline racing story!

The seventh story, The Dress by Vanessa de Sade, is about a woman who discovers who she truly is simply by accident. This story is really good and the wording old fashioned, which is truly intoxicating! I love how this story wraps around and fits so beautifully together! It’s so hot that the words alone could possibly lead you to an orgasm! That’s just with the build-up of the story! A must read!

The eighth story, Behind Closed Doors by Kelly Lawrence, is so incredibly hot I could barely keep reading! It’s about a woman who is the hired help who tends to her mistress (boss). I definitely was not expecting anything that happened! Ugh, a story I will definitely be reading at least a few more times! So sexy and hot! You will definitely want to read this! I’m half tempted to read it again! More things that are in my fantasy!

The ninth story, Debbie Does Dalhousie by Giselle Renarde, is about a mother who longs to create her own college experiences and is given that very chance. She goes with the flow and later learns what she has agreed to. She’s completely caught off guard but a good sport, more like great sport. This story had me chuckling! So well written and realistic. A total dream for any lesbian! After fully reading the whole story all I can say is wow! I wish!
The tenth story, Vee’s Notebook by Alyssa Linn Palmer, is absolutely adorable. It’s written as letters between two women. It’s so sweet and pure that it captures you and makes you believe in true love again, if you’ve stopped believing. It’s romantic, loving and yet sexy. I love it!
The eleventh story, Safer Places by Ariel Graham, is sweet yet sexy. I love how these two characters interact and are completely consumed by each other and fascinated with each other, still. A cop and a painter who are perfect together. The kind of sex that makes you jealous, or makes you wish you were involved. The story that erupts within, almost pulls a tear out of me. A really good story!

The twelfth story, Alphas by Harper Bliss, is about a love-hate sort of friendship between co-workers. Hot damn is this story hot. The aggravation that stirs up between them. The take charge and control they both have mastered, causes them to bump heads. What happens in order to determine who is truly the alpha female is so incredibly hot!
